HLEM
places great store in personal safety and the protection of the natural
environment.
We at HLEM employ
comprehensive procedures to ensure the best possible safety and
protection of our clients, communities, staff, equipment and the
natural environment.
Our clients expect a lot more of us than merely the right services at
the right prices. We also have a duty to ensure that our operations
have no - or, at worst - only minimal adverse effects on human health
or the natural environment.
Our concern at HLEM for such
matters and the responsibility we take is clearly reflected in our
Safety, Health, Environment and Quality (SHEQ) Policies.
Health and Safety
We at HLEM recognise that we have a responsibility to make sure, as far
as is reasonably practicable, that steps are taken to ensure the
health, safety and welfare of all our employees, contractors, the
general public and other persons who may be affected by our activities,
undertakings and operations.
Environmental
Protection of the natural environment forms an integral component of
good company practice and, for our part, we at HLEM are committed to
ensuring that our activities, undertakings and operations are conducted
with due care and regard for the natural environment and in such a way
as to prevent damage in particular by selecting the most appropriate
herbicides and using the herbicides in a manner that has as little
negative impact as reasonably possible. We at HLEM seek to conduct our
business in a sustainable manner – where possible, setting objectives
and targets. Continual research, evaluation of our work practices and
improvement is an integral element of our business strategy.
Quality
HLEM is fully committed to becoming continually more effective and
customer focused through the implementation of meaningful value adding
processes and the more efficient utilisation of human, material and
technological resources, with the aim of achieving our continual
improvement goal.
HLEM is committed to achieving and maintaining certification with
regard to the following standards:
Safety Management System - OHSAS 18001: 2007;
Environmental Management - ISO 14001: 2004; and
Quality Management - ISO 9001: 2008.
We at HLEM also expect those people working for our partner and
contractor companies to conduct themselves in a manner which
demonstrates the highest prioritisation of health, safety and
environmental care at all times.
